Regular Chair and Bionomic Chair - See the performance tests which explore various the results on sitting on either chair.

Scan Posture

The following scans were performed by Dr Gerard Christian. B.Sc. (Melb) B.App. Sci. (Chiro), sEMG technology seminar trainer, on an sEMG diagnostic machine (this measures the electrical activity in muscles or simply put: the amount of muscle spasm). The tests were performed on a fit adult male and within 6 minutes of each other.Note* results are achieved without a backrest....

Legend

Colours indicate the Amount of Muscular Spasm and stiffness

sEMG: surface electromyography

REGULAR CHAIR

Moderate to Severe Asymmetry = muscular stiffness and spasm

BIONOMIC CHAIR

Significant reduction of stiffness and spasm in Bionomic Seating

Xray Lateral Lumbar Regular Chair

Obvious reduction in normal curvature @ 90 angle of regular chair.

Xray Lateral Lumbar Bionomic Chair

Retention of the normal curvature in the Bionomic Chair.

Spine Asymmetry = Spinal asymmetry Moderate to Severe

Results indicate - sitting in a regular chair
- increase in muscle fatigue and spasm
- increase in pressure on spine = increase in body stress, strain and pain
- natural tendency to stoop

Spine Symmetry = Balance and Symmetry using Bionomic Chair

Results indicate - sitting in a bionomic® chair
- decrease in muscle fatigue and spasm
- decrease in pressure on spine = decrease in body stress, strain and pain
- optimal body posture
